Floor sanding and sealing
We aim to have as little disruption as possible while carrying out the process of floor sanding for our customers. Our sanding machinery is state of the art with a vacuum system that is 98% dust free.
Dull and damaged floors can be beautifully restored.
Floors are stripped back to bare wood and sealed with three coats of top quality lacquers or wax oils giving a high gloss or satin finish. Staining / dying floors can also change the colour of your wood floor from the standard wood colours available or we can create a customised look for your floor to suit your own style or taste.
Colour variations in hardwood flooring
Like finger prints no two floor boards are exactly alike. This is what makes wood flooring so appealing. Wood is a natural material and there are variations from board to board – some are lighter, some darker. Consequently each floor board will accept stain differently. Lighter stains show the most variation. Darker stains have a tendency to mask the natural variations in the wood. The higher or better the grade the less coloration you will see also.
